ALPHALOCK

The new Alphalock Modular Series follows Alphalock’s relentless quest for simplicity with no compromise in strength or function. “Utter simplicity is the Holy Grail of engineering,” says Eric Hall , Alphalock founder and president. “I have been involved with automatic locks since 2007. Each year I thought the locks couldn’t get simpler, but they always did. The new Alphalock Modular Series is the simplest yet. Its reliability and ease of service will be tough to beat.”

All Titanium Construction	Except for the aluminum mast plate, all Modular components are made in tough, lightweight, damage-resistant Titanium.
Service	The Modular line uses the same patented rotating locking flipper system. Service is very simple: remove four screws to open the lock, service it and close it again. All in just over a minute.
Universal Locking Bullet	The Modular locks all use the same lightweight polished Titanium Bullet. Most lock systems today use a long slug for external locking and a shorter bullet for over-the-sheave internal applications. The light, compact Modular bullet works for both.
Simpler Stocking Requirements	With less parts to stock, Alphalock Modular locks are an excellent option for dealers.

Alphalock Modular locks are even simpler: one moving part and a modular system where one lock works as Block Lock or In-Mast Lock, using one common locking bullet. Alphalock Modular locks are the only automatic locks sized to accept full size halyards with or without locking bullets. Along with typical Block Lock and In-Mast locks, Alphalock Modular locks have applications in other areas of the rig and deck. Attached to a simple custom mount at the top of the headstay, our system can be used for locking jibs, including furling sails. Alphalock Modular locks can also be installed for either external or in-boom reef line locking. Because of their versatility, there are sure to be other applications as well.

The Alphalock Gaff Car has a number of advantageous features.

First: it allows the square top (gaff) sail to be hoisted from the deck into the car where it locks automatically - without going aloft above the boom to attach it, as with conventional headboard cars. When taking the sail down, hoist again from the deck to unlock it.
Second: with no headboard toggle it is simple, low profile and light.
Third: the car itself locks automatically at the masthead and reef points.

As with all Alphalock products, simply hoist to lock, hoist to unlock.
